Adam the Dragon!
Blenheim High School recruit Adam for their Dragon's Den
Let me tell you where I'm at... I'm going to make you an offer...
Blenheim High School asked Adam Gardner, Director at Redder Ltd, back to be a Dragon for their annual Dragon's Den competition.
The Business Studies students, who are working towards their GCSE, had to come up with a business idea, build a business plan and then present their idea and plan to the Dragons. The Dragons in return asked questions about their idea before then voting on which they would 'invest' in.
The Dragons asked questions like:
- What market research have you done to help you design your product?
- Who are you selling to / target market?
- Why do you think your product will be a success?
- What makes your product successful? Stand out?
Prizes were awarded for
- the best presentation
- the best business plan
- the idea most likely to succeed
Adam was very impressed with the students saying, "It was fantastic to see the imagination and passion of the young entrepreneurs. Some of the ideas and products were totally inspired, A few of which I'd be more than happy to help get off the ground in the real world."
All of the judges voted for the same idea that was most likely to succeed. We'd love to tell you what it was, but it's actually that good that we can't as we really want them to go ahead with it and make it happen.
Film Competition Excitement Builds
The winner of our Client's Film Competition is soon to be announced
Not long to go now before one of the 10 finalists in this year's The Pitch Film Competition will win £20,000 of professional support to produce their film and take it to Hollywood.
The Winner will be announced on 18th January 2010.
The Pitch website has the functionality to automatically administer all aspects of the competition, from registration and video upload, to public and judge voting.
It's been a great project for Redder, which started back in May of last year, and so we're really excited about it coming to a climax this week and next.

Hopefully - inspired by your words - they'll develop the necessary dynamism to go for what they want over the coming years!'
Alaska Metals new website
Industry leading metals trading company has its website redesigned
Today the new website for Alaska Metals has gone live.
Alaska Metals is well known within their industry and therefore search engine optimisation (SEO), whilst being important, wasn't of utmost concern to the client. So, even though the main site has many SEO best practices incorporated, we were able to create a nice Flash Intro for them.
